Attractions Near The Lake
Bennett Spring ~ Located 30 minutes east of Pomme de Terre Lake. Bennett Spring, a fresh water source of 100,000 gallons per day, flows into the Niangua River just south of Highway 64. In 1924, the state of Missouri acquired the spring and surrounding acreage to make one of the first state parks. The spring branch waters are stocked with rainbow trout from the state hatchery on site. Fishing the natural beauty of the deep, blue waters or canoeing the Niangua is a nice day trip from Lake Pomme de Terre and the park is great for a picnic.

Ella Carothers Dunnegan Gallery of Art ~ Located in Bolivar- A few miles south of Pomme de Terre Lake. The Ella Carothers Dunnegan Gallery of Art opened in 1983. This gallery holds the Dunnegan and Wainscott Collections, which are lifetime collections. As these collections are extensive, it is a pleasure to visit the gallery several times each season for greater enjoyment. The gallery is open from 1 to 4 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday and Friday on a regular basis. It is also open on some weekends for special exhibits. There is no charge to the public.
